Manufacturing has been a defining part of Arya Group’s industrial journey for decades. From its early operations in steel rolling during the late 1970s to the establishment of advanced Iron Ore Pellet and Beneficiation facilities, the Group has consistently focused on creating long-term industrial value through technology, operational excellence and strategic investments.

Recognizing India’s abundant reserves of Iron Ore, Manganese Ore and Coal, Arya Group expanded its manufacturing footprint to support the country’s growing steel industry. Today, the Group continues to strengthen its integrated manufacturing capabilities through world-class facilities, modern processing technologies and a commitment to sustainable industrial development, laying the foundation for future growth across the entire steel value chain.

Building Manufacturing Excellence

Arya Group’s manufacturing journey began in the late 1970s with the successful operation of a rolling mill in Thane, Maharashtra, producing nearly 50 tons per day while maintaining approximately 90% capacity utilization.
Although changing domestic market conditions led to the closure of the facility, the experience established a strong manufacturing foundation for the Group.
Recognizing India’s position as one of the world’s largest producers of Iron Ore and its abundant mineral reserves, Arya Group diversified into modern steel manufacturing.
Today, the Group operates a 1.2 MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant in Barbil, Odisha, while expanding its industrial footprint through the development of a 1.8 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant and a 0.1 MTPA Steel Plant.

Iron Ore Pellet

Arya Iron & Steel (AISCO), established in 2004, operates a 1.2 MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant in Odisha. It was India’s first merchant Iron Ore Pellet Plant and the country’s first to adopt Grate-Kiln Technology, setting new benchmarks for quality and operational efficiency.

Steel Manufacturing

Arya Group continues to invest in modern manufacturing technologies to improve productivity and reduce production costs. The Group is establishing a 0.1 MTPA Tunnel Kiln Plant for Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), while developing a Steel Melt Shop and Rolling Mill to strengthen its integrated steel manufacturing capabilities.

Iron Ore Beneficiation

To maximize the value of available Iron Ore resources, The Group established a 1.8 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant in Odisha. The facility upgrades ore from Fe 57% to Fe 63%.
